Well, May is very nearly over. It doesn't seem possible that in just a few days we'll be into June. The weather has been really awful. Today it's still overcast and really quite gloomy. Shakespeare put it perfectly when he said, in Sonnet 18:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed,
And every fair from fair sometime declines
By chance, or nature's changing course untrimmed:
Plenty of May in bloom around here, and also plenty of rough winds to shake it! We've had such a mixture of weather, from really sunny and warm, to windy and wet.
