Another Wet and Windy Night

As I write this, at 10.35 on Wednesday night, I'm sitting in the lounge and I can hear the wind howling around outside and the rain rattling down the windows. We had been promised in the television weather forecast that we would be under several inches of snow last night. It never appeared, although in some parts of the United Kingdom, Scotland and Yorkshire, had quite a fall and there were problems with roads being blocked, but Milton keynes escaped. No doubt we will get snow before the winter is over, but we'll have to contend with rain and wind.
