The snow we were expecting never materialised. We had a slight shrinking on Saturday morning but it didn't settle. Certainly not the great drifts we had forecast. Poppy loves snow and she was racing around the garden like a young puppy. Meanwhile, Alfie wasn't in the least bit interested. Carol was hoping that there would be enough of the white stuff to have the Academy closed for a couple of days, but it's not going to happen. As I write this it's over-cast, but not cold enough for show.
We were kept awake until gone 2 a.m. by our neighbours. We don't know what they were up to, whether it was someone's birthday, but they came home and there was loud music playing and laughter and goodness knows what going on in their garden, but it not only kept us awake but the dogs started barking and very unsettled.
