I managed to use the Strimmer I borrowed from Gary yesterday and to tidy up some of the tufty bits of grass around the edge of the garden whilst Carol went into the Academy this morning at it was 'A' Level results day. I must say the garden now looks a bit tidier than it did before our work. Have had to cut back a lot of the brambles which is a horrible job as the thorns have a tendency to get caught in your clothes and stick into your hands if you're not careful. Unfortunately it started raining as the day progressed, beginning thin and weedy and now quite torrential. No thunder or lightening as I write but perhaps we'll get that as the night progresses.
