Wet, Cold, and the first Christmas lights

Another wet and cold day. It's raining heavily.

Our neighbour a few doors along has been spending the past couple of days putting up Christmas lights on the front of their house. You might say it is somewhat over done, 'in the best possible taste', as the late, great Kenny Everett would have said. Sorry, you have to see it to believe it. Really over done, and now it's switched on, really garish. It must be costing a fortune in electricity, and not entirely environmentally friendly. Nodding reindeer, skateboarding elves and flashing Santas are not my idea of any sort of style. I think all these lights must be a danger to low-flying aircraft, bound for sunnier climes.
