Last Day of Term!

Well, it's the last Day of Term for Carol at the Milton Keynes Academy! Most of the kids are off to either Thorpe Park or Alton Towers (theme parks, if those readers who are outside Britain and don't know.) To be quite honest, I don't envy the staff. Not places I would readily choose to visit. For one thing, incredibly over-priced and for another I don't exactly enjoy the sort of extreme rides they have. About two years ago we took Sam and Daniel there, dropped them off and then went off to visit Stoke-On-Trent, ending up in the museum there which was far more to our taste. It costs around £40 per head and now they expect you to pay to park your car all day! A bit of a cheek, considering you have no options as regards parking. I think it costs an additional £14. Also, being in such a place when the temperature is in the high 90's doesn't appeal in the least. 

The Royal Baby was born last night. A boy, as if you didn't know. All the waiting is now over. What will William and Kate, or to be more formal, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, name their child, who is the third in-line to the British throne? We will have to wait and see.

I may not post anything on this blog for a while, due to going on holiday and other matters arising, so don't be too disappointed if you are an avid follower. I'll be back on here around the end of August.
