We were woken during the night by flashes of lightening and thunder. It poured heavily with rain and so I had to close the windows. Poppy doesn't like thunder and as I've mentioned in earlier posts she's scared of fireworks over the November 5th Guy Fawkes Night period. It continued to rattle and rage for a good half and hour but as a result it seems to have cooled the temperature considerably thank goodness.
