It's strange how I manage to observe strange behaviour outside our house. From the bathroom window I noticed two youths, in Milton Keynes Academy uniforms, outside our neighbour's house. A tall, thin, gangly youth with almost skull-short hair (in the past he'd be called a 'Skinhead' but calling him that would be wrong as 'Skinhead' suggests a different sort of individual from around the 1970s., more than likely violent. These two youths didn't look particularly violent to me.) He was with a second youth, similarly dressed. The tall youth had a large stick in his hands. Goodness knows what he was planning to do with it. They had something in the road, I couldn't see what it was exactly, but every time a car went past they made a yelping sound. No doubt it was some sort of game to see whether a vehicle ran over whatever it was. I hoped it wasn't a dead bird, but I couldn't see clearly. I'm not sure what the large stick was for, probably to prod the object back into the path of the passing cars. I just hope they don't make a habit of this 'game' if it can be called that. It was the noise they were making which caught my attention. Strange what today's youths find so entertaining and fascinating, even when they are separated from their mobile phones and other electronic gadgets.
