Sunny October!

Sunday 4th October. 3.20 a.m. I am wide awake. I am shaved. I have had a cup of tea. I am listening to Andrew Neil  on a video on YouTube, discussing Andy Burman, our 'so called' Prime Minister, and the disaster that is coming, with the crazy level of borrowing and what he has said in a speech at the Labour Party conference which has ended in Liverpool. As a result if all of this, particulrly the fact that my megre pension (or rather the small amount I get from Carol's Teachers' Pension.) is now taxed, I am now a fully paid-up member of the Reform Party.  Burnham wants to have 'Bigger Government', which is, infact, reversing everything that Margaret Thatcher starterd, by privatising such utilities such as water, power, BT and a whole host more. It might not have been entirely successful, but why reverse everything that works, just because of Socialist dogma? Look what happens, every time we have a Labour government, they just wreck the economy of this country. I seem to remember, when Labour left government in, I think it must have been 2010, when David Cameron became Prime Minister, some civil servant left a message to the incoming government, probably in the Treasury, saying, something like 'sorry, there is no cash left.'

Well, after all the above, my main bit of news is, I have virtually  completed the play I began just over a year ago, is now finished, apart from a bit of tidying up. It now has a far stronger ending (which I refuse to reveal.) So, once I can afford to buy ink cartridges for my Canon printer, I can then run off a copy so I can at last read the script  properly. Although it is great to be able to use word processing, it isn't that easy to read on a computer screen. Having said that, I find it better to read using my iPad.

8.20 p.m. Well, that's it. 'Hiding In The Smoke' is now completed. I just need to buy those confounded ink cartridges for the printer and I can then print it off and put it in a folder and it will allow me to read it, as a 'hard copy'rather than via the computer screen.

Monday 5th October. 5.20 a.m. Here I am again, wide awake, fresh as ever. I can't sleep, so I might just as well add to this blog. I can't believe how many 'hits' it has had. 268 for today, so, if it's that number at 5.10 a.m., what figure will it have reached by midnight? It reached 2471 yesterday. The thing I want to know is this; why are they going to my blog? What is it that attracts them, did they find what they weere looking for and if so, why don't they at least leave a comment?

12.50 a.m. I needed to find an A.T.M. machine and take out £10, for various things I pay for. The nearest I could think of, which had a space to park the car, was at Morrison's, so I drove there and actually found a space directly in front of the A.T.M. Two actual machines and one had run out of cash, so I had to wait for the person using the other machine to finish, and I just made the remark 'typical state of things under our new 'so-called' Prime Minister, Andy Burman!' and it started  conversation which revealed the totql hatred of this clown of a 'Prime Minister' and how the country thad deteriorated under out wonderful Labour Government. Particularly how we are allowing illegal immigrants to come here, be given free housing, benefits and generally become parasitic, all at the British taxpayer's epense, while the government does nothing to stop these boats crossing the Channel.

Attempting to get an appointment to have my prostate examination, which was partially arranged at the last doctor's appointment.Let me explain the state of play over this matter. At the end of the appointment, the doctor gave me a slip, which I was supposed to give to reception, onto which they wrote a number, and then it was handed back and I was told to then go on line, this week and get the appointment. BUT, when you go on line, as this is now the only way you cn make  doctor's appointment, you have to fill in one of three boxes, which I did. I now get an email this morning, to inform me that I filled out the WRONG FORM! So, how am I supposed to know ehich is the correct one? So, by now I am seething, and about to blow a fuse, becaue of this stupidity. And they wonder why people loose their patience with the system and hurl abuse at the staff.

The number of hits up until now, as I write this post, is 2305. Why are so many people visitng this blog?

6.00 p.m. I have mentioned my attempts to get a prostate exam done, but I had a text message informing me I had to fill in one of the wretched on-line forms on the CMKMCwebsite, which I did, and then, I got another email informing me IT WAS WRONG! This is driving me half insane (how tht works, I have no idea. I aiuppose if you can be fully insane, you can be half insane, but never mind.) But, if they never explain WHICH of the stupid windows on the website you're supposed to fill in, HOW ON EARTH are you supposed to know? This is just N.H.S. madness, and they wonder why patients loose their temper with staff. No wonder the N.H.S. has some sort of money pit. They keep asking more and more money, feeding it like some sort of rapacious dragon, endlessly devouring all before it, but never actually getting anywhere, and stqnding still, never improving. It isn't the actual service, the cqre, the quality of he nursing, but to keep throwing more and more down the hole in the ground, when it doesn't improve, seems senselsss.

I think I will have to go into the doctor's reception and sort this out, rqther thqn attempting to fill in the on-line form, and then get told off.

Wingeing Brits

So, we now have a new Prime Minister in Boris Johnson. What really annoys me is that there are people 'out there' protesting that he's Not Their Prime Minister. If that's the case, I'm ashamed of being British. I wish I didn't have to write  this. It's been over three years since the EU Referendum. The legislation to bring about Brexit (hate the word.) has been rejected three times by the House of Commons and as a result lead to the downfall of Theresa May. I have to say I feel sorry for her, as she tried her best. Handed a poisoned chalice when David Cameron resigned after the Referendum result didn't go in his favour and had to have a hissy fit and walk away. After all, he was responsible for calling the Referendum. The result was pretty feeble. Remain: 48.1%; Leave 51.9%. (Sauce: The Electoral Commission.) And what makes me really annoyed, 25,359 rejected ballots. What on earth do people have to mess up their ballot papers, what sort of idiot does such a thing? It could have swung the result  in either direction. What a waste! Why on earth are we leaving the E.U. on such a narrow majority? And what on earth were those 25,359 people thinking by those 'rejected ballots,'? (Meaning 'spoilt, void, null, invalid, and not included in the vote count.') Why waste your vote? It's a disgrace. Think how long it took to gain 'Universal Suffrage,' and even put their lives on the line? Those who don't vote in any election General, Local or Referendum, annoy me because of that effort to allow them to vote.

Come on, we British don't just lie down and and roll over like a stupid puppy! That's not the British way of doing things. We don't give in that easily. We're going to be better off outside the EU, we can manage without being bullied and bothered by a load of bureaucrats, most of them having no democratic power. Just look at the buildings they work from in wherever it is in Brussels or Strausberg, have no windows, soulless places, faceless people, with nothing better to do than come up with stupid directives about bent bananas, cucumbers and, dare I say it, condoms! Making a mockery over such crazy things! I'm neither for or against the EU, it took me a while to decide whether to vote Remain or Leave (voting Remain after a lot of internal wrestling over the subject.) But that's not the point. Let's make the best of this whole affair and hold our heads high. Where's the Dunkirk spirit? But all this wingeing and whining is not a British thing. It comes from the 'Dependency Culture,' the, 'I want it, because I'm owed it!" which is not a British thing either. Stand up for yourself and don't be dependent, be self-reliant wherever possible.

Who was the stupid politician who allowed us to sign up to some half-baked treaty, was it at Maastrich that they imposed goodness knows what on us? The 'Single Currency,' the Euro which, thank goodness we had the sense not to sign up to? Was it John Major or Tony Blair? Creep-fest himself, a real creepy individual, always smiling inanely and as sincere  and slimy as a bucket full of eels. Making loads of dosh going around giving lectures and being paid endless amounts of cash on the side.

On top of this the EU has said they won't alter the agreement for Britain to leave the EU. They are going to have to. I don't think Boris Johnson will let them get away with this. They have to be more flexible. This is the problem with the EU, it's too large and cumbersome. It wouldn't surprise me, once we do eventually leave, than it will fragment, slowly, over time. Us leaving is like removing a brick from a wall or one of those games with tiles or bricks in, Jenga, once it's removed, the wall collapses.

A lot of the problems around all this lie with social media, Facebook, Twitter and the like. People can spend a lot of their time wingeing and moaning on there to their hearts content. It's easy to post this sort of stuff on the internet, without having to face another human face-to-face. This sort of person can do his without having to face the consequences. You can be mean and nasty without actual physical contact. Hence all the cyber bullying and meanness that that entails. End of rant. I don't very often mention politics on here, but at the moment I can't resist putting out my opinions on this, which you will have noticed if you read any of my earlier blog posts.

Unable to Login To The Internet

Yesterday morning I was unable to get into the Mac Laptop yesterday morning, unfortunately, which means that I couldn't get on here to write up a blog post. I am now writing this on our second little laptop, which may not be an Apple, considerably slower, but it at least works and I'm able to do all the work I need to do on a computer, including this blog and reading and writing emails. It is taking a lot to re-learn as it doesn't work anywhere near the same as an Apple.

Yesterday, Thursday 7th March, was General Election Day here in the United Kingdom. Seeing how the S.N.P. seemed to take virtually every seat in Scotland it makes you wonder how much longer we will be a United Kingdom, because I imagine there will now be a second Scottish Independence Referendum. Elsewhere, it looks as if David Cameron will continue as Prime Minister and no doubt Ed Miliband will resign as Labour Party leader as Labour didn't do very well, particularly in Scotland where the S.N.P. took most of the previously Labour-held seats. I spent most of the night watching the Election results coming in on BBC Television.

I rang Apple earlier this morning regarding the problems with the MacBook Air laptop. I thought I was actually ringing the Apple store in Midsummer Place in the Milton Keynes Central shopping centre but it seemed to be a call centre. I had to go through a voice-activated menu, which knew my name, even though I hadn't mentioned it. A bit creepy. It's difficult to know whether the system has actually respond, as you have to repeat some words which it's unclear to know whether it has understood, but the very idea of a machine 'understanding' you seems creepy. I eventually go through to a human, and I had to go through a few system-checks to find out whether the laptop was working, which it plainly isn't, but it's difficult to take instructions over the phone, hear the instructions whilst attempting to use the keyboard, but in the end I decided it was easier to go into their showroom and get someone to check it out and if they can fix it there and then, then O.K. So I made an appointment for Tuesday at 11.45 a,m. I just hope it it done there and then and doesn't incur any sort of expence, as, what with the car needing repair as well at the moment, we don't need this sort of expence also.
